Over 400 people joined Brooklyn’s Mambo Queen, Ms. Arelis Beato and Tropical Image Inc. at the Tenth Annual Brooklyn Salsa Congress & Dance Festival, “A FUNDRAISER” for the “GET KIDS OFF THE STREETS PROJECT (G-KOTS), Friday, Nov. 11, 2016.

G-KOTS project was started by Ms. Arelis Beato, through the Tropical Image Inc., a Not for Profit 501(c) (3) corp. and offers dance classes to children in the New York area FREE or at LOW Cost.  The GKOTS program Prides itself on nurturing the minds of our youngsters with Culture, Morals, Values, Self- respect, Education, Professionalism, Career and Character development support amongst many other benefits.

This year’s Highlights were the GKOTS Dance Project Collaboration Performance, and “The NY-ALL Star Dancers Jam” Featuring NY Salsa dance Icons & Pioneers: Jimmy Anton, Jami Josephson-Chase, Abbey Plotkin, Nelson Flores, Melissa Rosado, CC Williams, Addie Diaz, Arelis Beato, Winsome Lee and more!

The Fun didn’t stop there, the reunion of the Original Caribbean Soul Dancers was an unexpected and fun treat as some of the dancers took the stage and performed skids from 3 of their most popular and highlighted routines.

Everyone was on the dance floor and joined in Group dances, couples, solos and even a mannequin challenge.  We are all looking forward to next year already.  The After party on Saturday, featured spectacular shows & Dancing, and Sunday’s Farewell party, highlighted the Salsa and the Michael Jackson Tribute Performance Challenges.
