 all come together as one on this very special and exciting night.

Tropical Image and I want to thank everyone who attended & made the 2008 Brooklyn Salsa Gala a

 success, on Friday November 14th @ The Brooklyn Masonic Temple!!!

last year we had over 300 people, this year we doubled to almost 700.  That is great!!!!!

We hope to add another 300 to next year!

The Official Brooklyn Salsa Congress

For a event like this to be successful you need some key elements:  

VENUE - The Masonic temple, was very nice and tried to accommodate all of our requests.  Although a bit confusing to reach at 1st, once you're there is not so bad, and now you know for next year!!!! We hope to bring it back next year in the same place, keep checking the website for update.  

MUSIC - The DJ's were on fire! They kept the crowd sweating and the floor was packed all night!!!! everyone Danced, whether it was Salsa, Merengue, Bachata or Cha Cha everyone danced!!!. and whom ever had not  danced by 12:30am, they surely joined the circle of showoffs when HIP HOP came on.  All the kids and I sincerely thank all the DJ's for a job well done, their time, the light effects and of course the Hip Hop moment. Hope to have you guys back next year!! Muuuuahhhh  

PERFORMERS - Wow!! I knew I had a great line up from # 1 to  #16 when I put it on paper!! BUT, when the performers took the stage it was in FLAMES!!!.   All performers gave it their all, they were happy and full of energy... The reviews have been amazing and the compliments are endless.  Thank you all for being part of this event you did a GREAT job!!! I am particularly proud of the Dance Projects for all their hard work and dedication and of course, my dance teams, You guys are my Pride and Joy!!!   A special thanks go to Ms. Barbara Craddock & Ms. Liz Mercado, David, Jenn, Eric Baez, his Family and friends for their immense support. The dance teams and studios that showed great support you all know who you are, Thank you sooooo much!  

FOOD & DRINKS - No other congress makes food & drinks available to you at the low prices we had. I heard all the liquor was done and that the food was great, I wouldn't know, I didn't get to eat, I was busy!!! LOL, I am glad everyone enjoyed it. :-)  

Of course my SUPPORT TEAM, my RIGHT & LEFT hands "the STAFF" - As much as everyone likes to say I did this event, I was only able to do it with the help of my staff and volunteer supporters.  

Merci & Janelle - No words can express how thankful I am to have you guys in my life.  

Luz - Thank you so much for the wonderful job on the website. Love it, and so does everyone else, many compliments to you, thanks a Mil and congratulations on the baby!!!!  

Michael - Out did himself this year!!! I'm still in shock of how involved and dedicated he was to this event, and so is everyone else, but none the less, Thank you very much for your support and all the hard work, I really appreciate it, you played a big part in this year's event. Thank you.  

Jackie & Junior - Oh My God!!! you guys are amazing, thank you so much, I don't even know what to say, Junior you've been there for me 2 years in a row, and Jackie, well you know you are the GIRL!!! LOL- Thank you guys....  

Lissy & her daughter - thanks so much for stepping in and helping out when you didn't have to, you saw something needed to get done, asked  for direction and locked it down.   I loved it!! thanks a lot....you know you didn't have to do that and I appreciate it that you did!!!  

Nelson - Wow! you got lost for 3 hrs in the city trying to find this place and you drove all the way from DC just to help out.  THANK YOUUUUUUU.  

Ceci & Junior - You guys were dressed to kill and still jumped behind the bar and handled it, Love you guys and THANK YOU......  

Dance Team Members - You all did a great job at helping out, Sabrina was determined to fill up that page!!! I heard very pushy, great job Girl!!, Frances, Nafis, Noemi, Jennifer & Angie, thanks for all the help at the bar, that are was crazy all night !!!    

Fernando - Thanks so much for taking charge of tech rehearsals and organizing the performers while Nelson was lost in the city, LOL you did a great job and as I have always told you, You have your moments!!! LOL Love you!!!! muuuahhh  

Elvis - Thanks so much for running around with me all day, thanks for a great show and good luck, it was a pleasure having you in the team this last year.  See you soon, I do know where you live and we do go eat a lot, soooooooo, maybe.......perhaps........ could be....... LOL - muuuuahhhhh  

Ydelhca - Thanks so much for the help and support, you really came through for us. Muuuahhh  

Noel - Thank for the support and great advice, you are definitely helping out as the MM for next year. LOL   I hope I didn't forget anyone, and if I didn't mention you personally, You know I am still thankful for your help.  Hope to see you all next year!!! Keep the look out for date and details coming soon.
